Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer lab-grade metabolic assessments including an Active Metabolic Assessment and a Resting Metabolic Assessment (RMR). We also provide services focused on building overall strength, improving fitness, and addressing movement and pain-related situations.

  • An Active Metabolic Assessment measures how your body uses oxygen and burns fuel during exercise to help determine cardiovascular fitness, calorie burn, substrate utilization, and heart rate training zones. While VO2 max may be included as part of the assessment, most individuals will identify their peak VO2 during testing rather than reaching a true VO2 max. The assessment provides broader insight into how your body performs across different exercise intensities.

  • An RMR assessment measures how many calories your body burns at rest, giving you a more accurate understanding of your baseline calorie needs.

  • Metabolic testing can benefit athletes, fat loss clients, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone wanting more accurate training and nutrition data.

  • Yes. Metabolic testing measures your actual physiological responses rather than relying on generalized estimates.

  • Results may include:

    • Heart rate zones

    • Calorie burn data

    • Fat vs carbohydrate utilization

    • Resting calorie needs

    • Cardiovascular fitness insights

  • You should consider reassessing when you notice changes in your physical body, when progress has plateaued, or when your training, nutrition, or performance goals have shifted. Regular reassessment can help ensure your data continues to align with your current physiology and objectives.

    • RMR Assessment: approximately 20–30 minutes

    • Active Metabolic Assessment: approximately 30-45minutes

  • Please carefully follow all pre-assessment preparation guidelines to help ensure the clearest and most accurate data possible.
